So your AFR's are in the 15-16 range?? Have you checked all the hoses for leaks? What are the mods on the Speed 3??

i retighened everything and checked all the vaccum hoses, cleaned out the maf sensor and housing on the intake, cleaned the filter, even swapped out recirc kit hose and tried it without the recirc kit and still same reading and sometimes when in boost i can smell fuel

Are there any mods on the car?? CAI....SRI....BPV??? Any loose hoses on these items can cause the AFR's to freak out like that.....also check you gas cap....might not be tight...

gas cap is tight i mean would it really cause the car to go into lower idle and smell of gas though?

mods:
cobb fmic
cobb turbo inlet
cobb sri
cobb downpipe
cobb exhaust
test pipe
hksqv bov and recirc kit
my accessport
stage shortshifter
and the rest are just for suspension

Possibly....I had a faulty gas cap on my CX-7 that caused my car to have a rough and low rpm idle....swapped it out and it fixed the issue...there was a TSB for the CX-7's about this....

There are a few things it might be.....your original idea could be one of them....With these engines there are sooooo many things that can cause your issues....

Good luck with the Service Dept.....:D

what are you're fuel trims like...and also, your afr's in boost are exactly where they're supposed to be...so its just at idle...but yeah look at your fuel trims, that'll tell you if you have a leak or not.

vacuum leak...dunno where...but vacuum leak. its going to be post MAF tho since its after the air has been metered, its adding fuel to reach the desired AFR. Since it can't add enough fuel thats why you're running lean at idle as well.

So basically you're getting air into the intake from some source after the MAF...check everything from the MAF all the way thru to your throttle body.

That's how my car ran too. Fine as long as I was moving, just went way lean at idle because of the vacuum leak. I'd double check the BPV connections especially as that's what was causing my issue.
