So, after much debate, I have decided to move forward with the modifications on my car, rather than letting the car die a stock vehicle.. (of course). This post is not to create drama or arguments between parts or manufacturers, as I have done my research, and feel that these parts are best suited for my application and desires for the car.
Within the next 2 weeks (hopefully) I will receive all my parts, and then schedule one massive install day. These parts include:
DN Performance Stainless Turbo Manifold
CP-E Front Mount Intercooler
PT Performance Super Stock Series Turbo w/34 lb compressor wheel
Reinstall CP-E downpipe and Magnaflow exhaust
Reinstall intake and BOV
Other misc mods include N2MB wotbox, wideband and egt gauges
The latest to arrive sounds like it will be the front mount, so I will be patiently waiting for CP-E to finish production, and ship the bad boy, and then install everything at once. Due to moving the motor so much during the downpipe install, I plan on removing the downpipe/stock exhaust first, then then manifold, then the turbo, and then work backwards on reinstall, and follow up with the front mount last.
Once everything is in, I will update this post, and let you all know when install day is. If anybody wants to watch or help, thats totally fine, just let me know.
The building block

What's your definition of "close"?

I am going back and forth on wether or not I should have the manifold ceramic coated or not. DNP says if you have the TMIC, they recommend it, due to extra heatsoak...but with the FMIC, its not an issue. Overall lower temps under the hood would be better, I would think.. but the manifold is simply BEAUTIFUL just how it is, and many people have reported never having an issue without it coated. What do you guys think?
