HELP!

ive herd from two or three mazda techs that the 3s oil lights have a problem and that there trying t get a recall on them? so i dont know[/b]

if that is the case, he might see if mazda will pick up some of the tab on the repairs....that's a rather critical defect eh?

i would ask the last person that did the oil change ( if it was done by a mech. or an oil lube place to cover the cost)

thnaks guys for all your comments by the way! lol but yeeah the thing is that the oil change was done before i got the car. and i was just a dunbass and never looked at the sticker on the window lol. but yeah no oil light came on or engine light or anything, which is very wierd. and i know its bad cause i went to check on it at the shop where it is and it was up on the lift and the guy showed me what was wrong. honestly i dont really know anything about engines so i was kinda just noddin my head and saying yeah. haha but something was defently broken a rod i think and he said the parts to fix it arent that expensive but the labor would be a shitload, and as he was taking it apart he could very well find more things wrong with it. casuse you all know that no oil basically means no engine

mmm tough one there. need to keep up with those oil changes, but the warning light alerted you before this happened... I would see if your car qualifies for any
recalls *cough* oil light *cough to see if they could help a little. I doubt they would cover the whole thing given your situation, but it appears one of the failsafes..

yeah thats what i was going to do just to see what they would say.
but does anyone know what engine will fit in the 3? besiedes the standard 3. lol cause if im gonna spend a ton of money getting a new engine why not get a better one?
