wasn't planning on it. I was thinking more of ducting some air flow to that area to keep the turbo cool.

Ooh I like the hardlines to the turbo. This is something I've wanted to do as well. Did that come with the kit?

When K&N says the total length is 5 inches they apparently mean that the filter part is 5 inches and the mounting area is like a half an inch more... It would have fit perfectly if total length of 5 inches actually meant that the total length was 5 inches.... ughhhhhh

Wait, looking at those hardlines again, where is that coolant line going? lol

Also, on the K&N website, did it show that length includes the mounting portion or just the filter? There is usually a guide on their site that shows the dimensions of a, b, c, etc.

Jason, I have a shorty filter, I can go measure it and would be willing to let you have it if you want. I bet it will fit. (made by K&N).

Hmmm, I wonder why they chose to draw coolant from there instead of a cooler place, unless that's where it's dumping into.

You do know on the EFR to hook up the feed coolant line on the bottom port and the exit on the top port, right?

Any way you can bend that bracket into a "U" shape for additional clearance for the filter?
