Hey i was wondering, iv put about 2 thousand miles on my car maybe not a full 2 grand yet but close and it seems like my oil level hasnt changed at all, how much would i notice it dropping due to my omp, do you think my omp is malfunctioning? luckily i always premix but what do you think?

Rule of thumb is roughly around a quart per 1,000 miles due to OMP injection rates, but it does differ since the OMP doesn't injet oil at a fixed rate, it's load variable. So if you just cruise around it will be less oil consumption, obviously.

But I would look into making sure your OMP is working properly, the hoses for the oil jets in the housings are plastic so they are brittle and can crack easily, double check that those hoses aren't broken and are in-tact. Other thing to check is the oil metering jets in the housings have an integrated air bleed that needs to be open otherwise they won't work. In a stock setup they have a hose than runs to the air box, some people just remove this hose since they don't really need filtered air (the air bleed orifice is so small and the air flow rate is so low nothing could really get in there anyways). But make sure it's open. They will be virtually impossible to see without removing the UIM and rats nest.

Of course you should make sure that the previous owner didn't delete the OMP altogether.

hmmm ok, i have been mostly cruising making sure everythings ok with the car for the most part but i really havent noticed a decrease in oil? where are the hoses? and could i check the air bleed without taking out the whole nest the uim isnt a big deal, can those bleed holes be clogged or something because i dont have a stock airbox so im guessing the lines are off

But if the OMP lines were broken you'd have a mess all over the top of your engine, unless the OMP was also not working.

Are you 100% sure the previous owner didn't delete the OMP?

IMO k sports are junk, they are re badged, highly marked up knock off coilovers. I know of a few people with them, most didn't like them. I did have a friend who got some cheap and had them re valved and they were better, but still not great. Out of the box the shock dynos are all over the place, horrible.

Now the Apexi N1 EVX is a great combo street/track coilover from all the reviews I've heard. The spring rates are decent and they ride well, but also handle good.

I'm debating myself between the Apexi n1s or Fortune Auto 500s.
