Big turbo? Basic bolt-ons? And what's done to it to justify almost $650 just to have a stock pump modded?

I never had problems with my stock pump but swapped mine out when I did full bolt-ons as a preventative measure. All that's done to it is different internals with tighter tolerances that increase the fuel pressure and the consistency of that pressure. Honestly I don't think it's worth the $650 that CP-E charges, which is why I bought a PTP pump for around $380, but they're not around anymore and some people did have issues with theirs. I never had any issues with mine.
Really though you could just run the stock pump as long as you have a Dashhawk or something to monitor your DI fuel pressure so you can see if it's dropping. Once it starts dropping below 1600psi or so at WOT (like majorly dropping to 800 or below), then you know you need a new pump.

I agree with Dommo G...close to 700$ for a fuel pump?!. Theres cheaper ways to upgrade the fuel system on this car, even if u just install an inline walbro 255. If im paying that much for a fuel pump, that b**** better be rated for 1000hp+.
