I got 17,500 for my 09 with 22k miles and felt like I got a great deal, so for more miles and a year (half year?) older to only drop 1k is pretty good. Also sounds like you got a great deal on the Evo. Feels good to upgrade and also feel like you came out the deal on top as well.
Being that it's sat on the lot for over a year, how many test drive miles were on it? The SST has the paddle shifters right? Does it also have a full auto mode for when you're feeling lazy?
They didn't actually have it for that long, only a month maybe. It does have a full on lazy mode. The SST operates in 3 "modes" for automatic/drive mode.
Normal, which shifting is soft and early at around 3K rpm. Little to no rev matching is done when it downshifts.
Sport Mode shifts a bit later in the RPM and also rev-matches when it downshifts...along with sharper shifting.
S-Sport mode is where it all hangs out: 6000rpm shifts under light throttle, immediate, sharp-shifting, and pronounced rev-matching on down shifting.
If you floor it in any gear, it revs to red-line before shifting, but the level of sharpness of the shifts still remains in-tact for whichever mode you are under.
And of course, during any of the above, you can chose to manually shift it completely. Which is nice, because you can do s-sport mode for crisp shifts, but still shift early and at low RPM like a manual would be.
S-Sport also unleashes the launch control, which is fun as hell with AWD 5500RPM launching... no drama, just traction and GO.
I drove to work under Normal in Auto this morning, and drove home in s-sport using Manual... I can see this becoming my daily routing. It's just awesome.
