Another Monster Build?

Yep. Your car is sweet enough as it is, but a tubular front would be really sweet! Post some build pics of your car. I know they are out there as I have seen them on other sites.

I'm currently working on a tubular front subframe, and I may eventually do a tubed front half for it. It would be nice to have some room for twin turbos for the v8.

You put a 327 in for only $7k? How did you manage that? If you use the Monster Miata kit that's 5k by itself. If you didn't use the Monster Miata kit then you had to have done a lot of fabrication on your own, eh?

That is an understatement having seen his work in person. Every single thing is custom. Motor mounts, trans mount, radiator mount, headers, shifter, etc. Very nice work for a sweet car!

The $7K includes buying the car and purchase of the hardtop. I had some luck along the way, but I've had bad luck, too. I used Martin's rear end kit. So, I bought from him the hubs, axles, diff hanger, and I went ahead and splurged and bought the Ford 7.5 from him, too. Everything else is customs and home built. I even went as far to fab my own headers.

edit: here's some eye candy. the headers were my first TIG welding experience
