1984 rx7

Postby C0n57an71n3 » Tue Feb 23, 2010 9:14

1984 Mazda RX7 with clean title. Good outside body, no major paint fading or unsightly dents.

Pros:
-Sub woofer with amp included
-Aux in (Direct, no FM) iPod connector
-Aftermarket stereo deck
-Recently redone master cylinder, slave cylinder, and clutch assembly.
-Newer OEM starter installed
-Battery less than 6 months old

Cons:
-Low oil alarm goes off, no apparent cause (Probably a short. Bearable. Drove it months with it on)
-Passenger front brake caliper is leaking (A new rotor and caliper is ~200 installed)
-The light knob/stick is loose, leading to the lights being left on some of the time
-Need to pump gas to get it to start cold
-Missing the "RX7" emblem from the back

Features:
-1.1 Liter Rotary Engine that will last FOREVER. (It's an 84 with over 180k miles and still has oomph)
-Cannot lock keys in car (If you shut door with it locked, it pops unlocked. Must be locked from the outside. Saved me a couple times)
-Redone clutch assembly (master, slave, and mechanical)
-Completely wired amp and subwoofer (LOUD)
-Customizeable deck colors
-GRANT Racing Steering wheel

Overall a very fun to drive car that is loud accelerating (with a roar) and it tight around corners. Getting rid of it as I am getting out of cars as a hobby.

Title is clean, can be signed over TODAY.

750 OBO, willing to move a bit.

Call/Text 319 541 2712

Thanks.

Do you work on Ft Carson?

I think I have seen you on HWY 115 before. Going into Gate 5.

Not a bad price. I would think it is a good honest price if it is still running good.

Nope, I live in the springs. I was active here for a little while but then fell out of it.

I was going to buy a Nissan 300zx but I got passed over for a "better offer" without a chance. I'm considering keeping it, but if I do, I'm doing it big. I need a new exhaust, tune ups for more acceleration, and maybe a new carb. Anyone have parts?

You say this is a 1.1 Liter engine, yet everywhere I look I can only find that the FB either came with a 12A or 13B which are 1.2 and 1.3 Liter... Is this a different motor? Not trying to discredit this or anything, just interested in which motor this is because it looks like a great project car!! :)

I can help with it. You might want to PM him because I don't think he is on here much.
