Plans are Ball Bearing GT4088R E85 400hp Daily Driver.
All parts are purchased just need some good weather and time to have my friends finish it up for me.

My threads are sporadic. Im the guy working as a contractor in Kuwait.

If anyone has experience installing a greddy style front mount I would be greatful for any advice on how to do the install. The instructions from greddy are overwhelming.

Oh that's right, I'm sorry man, I forgot all about that.

I would think once you got the front bumper off it would be pretty easy to do the FMIC, but I could be wrong. My roommate (carbonzeven on here) has a FMIC on his car but I'm not sure if it's GReddy. Did it come with hardware to mount it? If not, you just have to find a way to mount it, cut the bumper for clearance if you have to, and route the pipes through the frame somewhere. Sounds like a lot but it's not really. Although I have a VMIC and have never mounted a FMIC, so I could be wrong. But it LOOKS like there isn't much to it haha.

It has all the hardware, but the instructions describe a process of moving the radiator. :o

Hmmm, I'm a little concerned then haha. Well it better have come with the hardware to mount the radiator in the new location too if that's the case. If it was a kit someone just cobbled together in their garage I'd understand (as long as it was cheap), but from a big company like GReddy, I expect more.

I would vote if you are shooting for 400-rwhp (on Jesus Juice aka E85 no less) you don't need a turbo as large as a GT40. That is a BIG turbo..lag will be pretty bad with it, especially for a DD (good luck with that!). For 400-rwhp I would vote GT35R or T04Z...much better suited for that range of power and the T04Z will still have some power left on the table when 400 starts to get slow. The GT40 won't even be in it's main efficiency island at 400rwhp...

I want to run E85 on my next rotary project, but my concern is the fuel washes away the oil on the rotors, housings and seals so lubrication become difficult (as it always is in a rotary). I'm also not positive how E85 would react to premixing which is the best route of combustion chamber lubrication for a rotary. E85 is also HIGHLY corrosive, so an a car as old as the FD you will have to swap all fuel lines and even possibly the tank, and obviously new fuel rails etc.

Im running a divided manifold which is suppose to decrease spool time. Im keeping my hp expectations low because of our elevation. I would love to make it to the 500hp club.

I will be premixing to try and keep the seals from drying out.

I have been running e85 on my old 240 for a long time and I didn't change out the fuel lines and I never had an issue. I am upgrading some of the fuel components on the rx7 so hopefully she will be ok.

Ahh so you're going twins scroll? That will help your spool time significantly. I still think the GT40 is overkill, LOL

Nice! So you went with the AEM? Any main reasons why you went with AEM over the PowerFC? I'm still debating...

I also hope to run E85...I noticed you have 1680cc secondaries, what size primaries? Are you running any other additional injectors? For my E85 setup I was planning on running Injector Dynamics (ID) 1000cc primaries, and four 2000cc secondaries on an Excessive LIM. That would be just enough fuel (10,000cc/min) for 600rwhp on a rotary with E85.

Car started today!!!

If anybody has experience with AEM EMS I have alot of questions.

Iani: Are you premixing your gas to help keep the e85 from drying out the apex seals?

I deleted my oil squirters so I have to premix, im running about an ounce per gallon

Chickenwafer: There is not much support out there for the aem compared to the pfc. I bought an aem for my 240sx so figured i would run it on the rx7 so I dont have to learn two systems.

10,000cc's of fuel, wow. Im running stock primaries for now. I will upgrade as needed.
