The RE050's are not made by Dunlop. Bridgestone makes them. The replaced the S03's also know as the Pole Positions.

My '09 came with those Bridgestones so I'm sure his did too. I have read they are downright dangerous not only in snow but in cold temperatures in general, same as most summer performance tires. I remember the first time it got below freezing after buying my SRT-4 and I was coming home from work on I-25 near the Larkspur rest areas and slid from one lane to the other on slightly wet roads on the stock BFG KDW2s. I bought some snow tires that very day, heh.

Incidentally, I have the snow tires from my SRT-4, used one winter only, for sale if anyone needs them. They don't fit on the MS3. 15" 5x100 steelies with 195/65/15 General Altimax Arctics with very good tread on them still. The steelies look exactly like the ones in the pic Dommo posted.

Well I just got my window tint done my Eric at eclipse window tinting today and I am definitly impressed with the outcome. It makes the car look so much better having tint on it now. The only problem I ran into has I pulled into the drive thru window at sonic which is when I realised I couldn't roll my windows down. (have to wait 3-5 days). Needless to say I had to open my door to order the food and pick it up at the window.
I also picked up a a sweet mod that gives me at least 20 HP to the wheels. Pictures are attached.

Tint is the first thing I'll be doing to my car. Had the money all set for it until I got a stupid too fast for conditions ticket from a cranky cop who was in a bad mood cause he had to work an accident in the snow. Hopefully next month I will get it done.

The black with tint looks great.

I grew up in Wisconsin so I've been driving in snow as long as I've been driving. From your user ID I assume you autocross. If you can control the car in a slide you'll be fine. Find a big open parking lot with the first good snow and get used to how easily the tires looses grip and the longer stopping distance you'll need. Once your used to that your ready for winter.

Welcome! It was great meeting you last night. I know you'll fit right in with the other guys and gals in the club. Tons of useful knowledge here!
