Lots of Mazda Parts (speed6 & speed3)

Postby Roadrnr06 » Sat Aug 22, 2009 9:14

I have all of these parts lying around just looking for a home:

CPE Billet Battery Tie Down~ Brand new!~ Lists for $139.00 I will take $120.00

The OEM battery weighs in at almost 40 lbs. Not only is it heavy but it is also an eyesore. Custom Performance Engineering™, Inc., (CPE) realized that there was room for improvement here. CPE started with the lightest and most durable battery on the market, the Odyssey Drycell™ battery. Odyssey batteries feature Absorbed Glass Mats (AGM) technology. This technology contains all the electrolyte (acid) in glass mats, meaning that there is no liquid to spill. This also allows the battery to be mounted in any position.
Utilizing state of the art CNC machinery and aircraft-grade 6061 T6 aluminum, we developed a battery tray that lightens front of the car by 25 lbs and mounts the Odyssey Drycell battery securely. The battery weighs only 15.4 lbs. The battery tray was also designed to sit as low as possible in the car to help with weight distribution
This battery tray is designed specifically for the MazdaSPEED6. Lists for $139.00 I will take $120.00

[font=Arial Black][size=100]Roadrnr06 was my leased 2006 Speed 6 which was purchased on 06-06-06. I have many fond memories of that car, and will be keeping my original profile as a memory of the great car that I once had.

My new user name is Roadrnr09 and showcases my new 09 Subaru WRX which I am very happy to have purchased as a replacement vehicle : )

Gonna have to go with Troy on that one. I looked at StreetUnits website and the speed3 one looks nothing like the speed6.

Thank you Bree, I figured he may be looking for some parts :)

it shouldnt. if your worried you can use break cleaner to remove the rust, and apply a rust preventing coating (a paint or something else that a local automotive store would carry)

but the mount wont break or wear because of the light surface oxidation.

if the 'dog bone' part of the mount begins to show rust, then you need to pay a little more attention to the part. but since CPe makes that part from billet alluminum, you wont have to worry about it.

IMO...If your looking for serious performance from a mount, I would suggest investing the the CPe Rear Differential mount as well as installing the rear engine mount. according to CPe, their rear diff mount is 3x stronger than stock...a little added security for those who are really going all out with their MS6

I had the front & rear motor mount and the rear differential mount. It completely changed the way the car felt and drove. In a very good way. I think that those mounts took the pressure off my clutch and drivetrain, and who really knows what else. Melanie (Wyosaint) bought my other mounts. I think she really enjoys them, (granted someone got them on lol, they were a HUGE PITA).
