People who take breaks after being at work for a whole 40 minutes..... and haven't done any work!!!!

Actually I'd be more inclined to say that's the FRENCH way. How long are their work weeks now, 20 hours? Or are they 10 yet? LOL

had a dude here, show up for work around 2pm, take a break shortly there after, and these "breaks" are a bit longer than 15 minutes. Anyways
when I was heading out for the day about 5:45 he was already gone.

I shouldn't complain I didn't get in to work until 11:30.... :mellow:

My parents asking me for money....

Now before you all jump down my throat, I have once given them all my life savings (about $9k) without seeing a penny in return.

I would have helped out, but I really didn't have the money they were asking for. It just grinds my gears.

When you fire an employee for drinking on the job. Then said employee is granted umemployment benefits.

Had something similar happen to me....fired an employee who was getting high on the job smoking weed. He got unemployement checks then! WTF. Our insurance went up.

That would piss me off. I thought you weren't granted UE benefits if you were fired, especially if you were fired for violating company policy.

I guess they neglected to state the obvious on the company policy.

A reminder to all of you employer's out there-- you might want to type up a "policy" that specifically states you're not allowed to put beer in the fridge at work, and drink it while your boss is gone.

Oh yeah. I've had two additional past employees before this specific situation. Both were fired. Both were denied UE benefits. Both received benefits after "appealing". I'm starting to see a trend here.

exactly! Now our rates are going to go up (yet again), having a direct effect on MY paycheck. ughhh I'm paying this guy's bar tab...
