It's because they can't see you driving over the dashboard, Andrew. They assume the car is being auto-driven. :p

Regulator wrote:I had a pretty funny one today driving home in Denver. I got stopped at a light and I could hear this Nissan Altima reving up a bit as if to get the jump on me off the light... Well I was right, the light turned green and he started burning the tires and I just took off like normal. It was pretty hilarious winning without trying, so I took it further and took mine through all of first and second gear.. Meanwhile I hear him slam it into second and burn the tires again.. I'm like a whole car length ahead with no launch and barely going like 45 mph  He did a ricer flyby then turned lol

Extras: His car had aftermarket wheels, exhaust, loud as hell.
was it red cause if it was, it could be an SE R and there quick 3.5L V6 270 Horse

At this altitude, they only put down about 200 HP. FI FTMFW.

Miles? Must have not been racing LOL

Depending on the year of Cobra they put down around 325-rwhp stock (rated 390-bhp at the crank), and Evo's only put down 230-awhp stock. With your mods I doubt you're above even 275-awhp.

i had a cobra WALK me the other day from 10-60mph.... the sound of that screaming supercharger is a little intimidating... first loss Ive had in a LONG time, and Im around 350awhp.. I think if we would have raced at higher speeds I could have taken him, but from a dig, that bitch was pure power.

If it was before a 2003 model, which is what I think was the 390 bhp model, they were beatable at this altitude by an MS3 or MS6. 1993 Cobras were what, 230HP? 2000 I think went up to 300....

In the "huh?" challenge of the weekend, I was driving the wife's Murano and was challenged off the line by...a Prius. Apparently they were ticked that I pulled up next to them in a lane that was ending on the other side of the light. Ha! Murano vs Prius. If that doesn't light your fire, nothing will.

LOL ya that what I was getting at- Cobra's launch like a MOTHER! From a roll I can hang with them easy....from a dig, Fuggettaboughtit!!!

I had a friend back in Phoenix with a 2004 Cobra, ported Eaton blower, smaller pulley, lots of other stuff, pushing like 515-rwhp and 550 tq, ran a solid mid 11 second 1/4.

Ya that's why I was wondering. Pre 2000 Cobra's are dogs, but ever since 2003 when they got revamped they are a serious machine.

Challenged Wednesday when my son was driving the Jeep and some douche-licker in a SAAB 9-3 turbo pulled alongside and challenged. Took off, then came back to us...etc. We ignored him, obviously, so he moved on to challenge other people. But WHY would you challenge a 4X4? WTF? He even looked at us and popped the BOV. lol

THen today I lined up at a light beside a Passat 3.6. I'd heard it go past at the last intersection and KNEW he wasn't stock, so I figured he'd try to launch on me. I let him launch, which gave him a car's length lead, then hit it and hung with him until third, when I backed off due to the PSL. He had that thing sounding sweet, though, and it was QUICK for a Passat. If I'd launched, I think it would have been VERY close, when it shouldn't be. I'll have to ask him what he has done.

Challenged by some kid in a 2005-ish WRX tonight, on my way to pick my son up from work. He had a VERY loud BOV that he liked showing off. I got tired of listening to it as he cruised beside me, so I dropped down a gear and left him. His BOV didn't help, but I did get a ricer fly-by, so I'd imagine he's telling his buddies how he smoked a Speed6 tonight. LOL.

03-04 cobras are monsters, I'd love to have one along with my speed6. I couldn't imagine having one as a daily driver here though

Got challenged by a cavalier with a primer colored bodykit last night. I shifted at like 3x rpm's and still pulled away lol

I like the new Cobra, but I've never been a fan of the 2000-2006 body style. THen again, as much as I love Mustangs, I don't think I could do RWD again.
