no more sonic meets! i was there tonight every car group/ club is banned from there. sorry i dont know why

too many incidents for the store owners to want any more gatherings I would imagine...car clubs are basically just less threatening forms of gangs in many situations.

Taking up parking spots and scaring all of the 40+ year old people. I can see why a manager wouldn't want a bunch of, "ricers" on their property. Not saying I agree, just saying that I understand why. It's worse here in Cheyenne; Every genius in town meets in a Grease Monkey parking lot. It's REALLY close to the police station and it's right at the corner of a really busy intersection. The one time I had attended, the cops showed up and said, "How many times do we have to tell you?! Get out of here!"

Suggestion: Find an empty Wal-Mart or mall parking lot. That's what we did in VA and we had no problems with the cops; Until you get a bunch of sweet Civics and STIs red-lining all over the parking lot

Gangs? Seriously? I've been going to these sonic meets for a while.....just people hanging out talking about cars and eating shitty food that sonic should be glad someones buying. Have you even been to this meet ever? or are you just assuming its some fast and furious bullshit? Either way, I dont see why anyone on here cares, nobody went to these anymore.

Dude, I hate to break it to you but Joe and I are from the East Coast where A LOT more car stuff happens. Have I been to that SPECIFIC meet? Nah. Have I been to a lot similar? Yup. It sucks but any car that's not American made gets profiled...especially in groups.

Similar to the meet you've never been to? I disagree that "any" import gets profiled, its just people acting stupid in them that gets the attention.

Obviously your naive to this culture then Black. and yes, all Japanese cars that either look sporty, or have a following, are in fact profiled. Id suggest you cool your jets before posting next time. On another note, I have been to that specific meet a few times, and I can definitely see why no one wants us there. For Gods sake, the local police show up just in case things get out of hand. If it was just a nice get together, like your horse blinders tell you it is, then the local police would not automatically show up every week. Generally speaking, MAZDA clubs are on the nice and tame side, minus one (emphasis on ONE) Rx7 club I mingled with back east.

And, if you weren't so hell bent on flaming the shit out of me, and actually read my post...then you would see that I did not say that car clubs ARE gangs, but behave like them in a lot of cases...I know we're not the god damn Crips or Bloods or MS13.

Although, it is people like you Black that draw people AWAY from the nice and tame and fun in nature clubs like CMZC for flipping out at the first opportunity.

Once again, I'm not too terribly upset over your naive posts, and I am sorry if I ruined your night with what I said..or in some way made you impotent. BUT, once again, cool off a little and think before you make an angry post.

Gentleman, take it easy. No one is trying to get in a fight about this or is too wound up. Reading text is a LOT different than hearing it in person, so relax. Remember, we are all in the same club and we all want to enjoy our time here. Please think twice before you start telling people that they need to cool down or use the words "it is people like you", cause that alone sends a very different message. Alright? I won't have it in this club.

agreed, its the same thing that happens to most meets, 1 jerk decides to burn out or rev there engine really loud and make some one mad its rediculous. but as far as things go everyone i know at every meet has always been friendly (i.e) mazda club and i never see any fighting occuring. i saw police right when i got there arresting someone my guess is some one was racing for money or somthing and that one person ruined it.

for gods sake, read a book for once..did I not say in my original post that car clubs were a Less Threatening form of, well, I just gave you a definition.

To be honest, not many CMZC members were interested in attending this year. So unless we see an over-whelming amount of people wanting to do this on a regular basis I highly doubt it will happen. :huh:
