I'm honestly not on AWDpirates very often... a lot of rude, childish people over there that I don't care for. Kind of funny, there's a large group of Coloradans (sp? real word? haha) on IWSTI that don't post on AWDPirates either, for the same reasons. There's a lot of really cool people that post there, but I'm afraid they're the minority IMO, and as such, I don't waste my time.

Besides, if someone is in need of tech advice, Harvey (The Man as far as I'm concerned) & Adam post over there regularly, and are both FAR more knowledgeable than I am. So I don't bother posting too often

I tune with the Cobb AccessPORT, so I thought about having a map for both premium and E85. I just wasn't sure how the big ass injectors would respond to the regular fuel map. I suppose if they are scaled correctly it's a non issue, just don't want my duty cycle to go too low.

I currently run 290cc primaries, 380cc secondaries and 730cc P2 injectors, so I would prob goto 380cc primaries, 480cc secondaries and 1000cc P2s. I already have a Wablro 255 l/ph fuel pump on order

My GPS is run off my CarPC, I use iGuideance software...I wonder if there is a plug-in so I can find E85 stations for that?

Cold starts isn't a big issue. This is my toy car, it will get stored in the garage during the winter. It prob won't be driven in anything below 40 degrees, LOL, and deff no snow. And I have to let my car warm up (rotary) to at least a coolant temp of 140*F before I start driving and an oil temp of at least 140*F before I go into boost. So I'm used to letting the car idle for 3 minuets or longer.

This is something I will seriously look into. The only change in the maps I would need to make is scaling my injectors, the Cobb AP is so great. Then I could lean out my fuel tables a full point or more.

What about my water/meth? Should I dump that with E85 or does it still work to help drop IATs?

Haven't checked my WPM in years... I have no idea haha. I work behind a computer all day (PBX tech) so I type a lot... faster than most people I know, so yeah.

I was in the Army for 4yrs 7months (stop lossed) have no problem with having thick skin/trash talking... but well, just don't care for most of the people there. I'll leave it at that

People have used meth/water injection in conjunction with E85 & had great results. It really can't hurt, although a lot of people drop the meth altogether for simplicity's sake.

Thanks for the links there. I think I will keep the w/m and see what happens. I like the "steam cleaning" effects it has on the inside of the engine and it's just extra insurance.

I need larger injectors....the 8 uses Denso style injectors. I believe the Evo uses the same thing, so I can source some 1,000c injectors but I'm not positive....anyone know for sure if the Evo uses a Denso style injector? I'm 99.99% positive they do.

Yes, these dyno numbers are "inflated". But as many others have said, the reason Eric went to MAC was for the before/after comparison. Can't we just see it for what it is? I fail to see why there's a fucking constant pissing contest over trivial bullshit. And yes, the BS has come from both sides of the fence. Threads like these only serve as a detriment to the community, and as a revelation of the maturity level.

Josh, no dancing around it, you were out of line in my opinion. And not just on this forum. Eric has stated from the beginning that this dyno is simply a reflection of a ~46whp gain from his PG K04 to the GT28. Do I think his numbers are inflated? Yes. Do I think he was trying to claim "king of the mountain" with these numbers? No.

Hope all of this doesn't fall on deaf or filtered ears. Be supportive, give constructional criticism, and offer opinions/advice when it supports the community. Otherwise this will turn into another MHM.

Sorry but when you start a thread saying "Recognize" and post a video what response do you expect? Thats what started me going on other boards to see if it was there as well. So I suppose Troy is to blame for me opening my mouth on this one.

If the first post said Eric dyno'd on his k04 and got yada and now he dyno'd on his 2871 and got this and here's the difference I woulda probably said Damn nice numbers and left it at that. But was that done? No it wasn't. So before you go solely throwing me out there take a look at the person who started the thread and how it was started. How do you think people would percieve that first post?

To me I perceived it as Eric still not willing to come on here so he had Troy come on and post for him which is seriously fine. But there was zero TACT in that post even if it was one word.

Also there was no mention on MSForums this was a comparison dyno either. One small blurp about it but not any focal point of throwing up the video. So to say this was solely done for comparison is eh.. iffy to me but okay.

my .02, from a non-drama perspective

I have been to 3 dyno's in Colorado...all were Dynojets. I have heard* (I am no expert, just a user) that Dynojets provide graphs that are very comparable to other Dynojets. First was PFI in Ft. Collins, then MAC, then TC's. I had basically the same numbers between all 3 shops, they were all within 3-4 hp of eachother at peak. Like stated earlier in the thread, the before and after is what matters, but then again, being able to share your peak power is part of the fun. Not sure I have ever seen someone get so reamed over a dyno choice. The implied remarks are kind of funny though when you think about it. Basically person A "chose a Dynojet for higher numbers to make themselves feel better". Person B "Chose the other dyno for lower numbers that they deemed more accurate, to make themselves feel better". So you have both basically done the same thing via different paths.

I see nothing wrong with sharing the progress he's making with his car despite whatever falling out the two of you had. He continues to be helpful to me and I believe others in the CMZC community despite not being a member anymore. I don't understand why you have to throw so much hate out there and turn it into a "who's got a bigger dick contest" based on what they've done to there car. Most of us are just trying to have fun with our cars.

Where am I making this a bigger dick contest? I honestly dont have any hate I'd react the sameway to anyone that posted up the same stuff. I really think you're off base with the contest thing though. As I really have nothing to compare to vs his car? Again people just throw out assumptions like they're candy around here.
