MS3 Test Vehicle Request - Engine Torque Damper

Postby IngallsEng » Mon May 11, 2009 9:14

Hi all,

My name is Adam Moyer and I am an engineer here at Ingalls Engineering in Louisville, CO. We are currently seeking a Mazdaspeed 3 to use as a test vehicle to develop our latest Stiffy engine torque damper application.

We would need your car for up to two days. You will be provided with a free engine torque damper kit for the use of your vehicle.

We have had good luck using folks from the CMZC forum in the past. I hope we can continue the relationship.

If you are interested, shoot me an email or give me a call.

Thanks for all your help.

Is there going to be fitment issues or a problem with the unit hitting the hood like in the SRT-4? I'm willing to give you my car for however long you need it so long there's a promise of zero damage.

mOOsE,

Usually you drop the car off for a day or two while we develop the brackets for the ETD. There isn't much "tuning" per se as the Stiffy has been pretty well dialed in over the last few years. Its more getting everything to fit within the confines of the car so that it works as intended.

Sometimes I can get done in a day. It just depends on how complex the engine/chassis arrangement is. Give me a call and we can discuss the details.

No. We go to great lengths to make sure that the kits are an easy bolt on that fits correctly. All cars that are loaned to us are handled with great respect and care. We really appreciate the help and assistance we get from the car enthusiasts in the area and want to continue to build on that relationship.

Hey Adam, I'd be interested if you're still looking. I'm not far from you either and could swing by if you want to take a look/ride whatever. What's the liability if while in your hands something happens to the car?
