Im about to hit 40,000 miles and before I add modifications I'd like to take the car to the dealership for service, ie fluids. What specifically can I do to be a "good" MS6 owner?
I just hit 37,000 and have since changed all the fluids(Transmission,Transfer case, Front/Rear Differentials, Topped off brake and Power steering fluid) in the car and just today put in new Denso one step colder plugs(Stretched the springs as well....Thanks for the advise Bobopud). My belts looked like new so will wait until I see a little more wear. Coolant looked good as well. Cleaned the MAF sensor, throttle plate when I had the TMIC off. Put in some fuel system cleaner last fill up..........Runs like a champ.......

I need to go in as well. I need the 50k+ service though. I'm not looking forward to having to explain to the service writer why I don't want them to clean and flush my fuel injectors.
Probably time for a new cabin air filter as well.

What about plugs? Is that something that is done at 50k on those cars?

Maybe this needs a separate thread, I dunno- What is the general consenus on Seafoam here? I've heard good and bad things about it...did the oil and fuel treatment in my old car--but it acually seemed to make the car run rougher.
I've been told that the Seafoam eats up seals that are made within the engine, and potentially unloosens chunks of material/sludge, that can get jammed up. If anything use, BG treatments; as they aren't as harsh. Also, frequently changing oil...and/or doing a couple of oil changes with fewer miles in between to help clean gunk out. Lastly, use a quality full synthetic oil-
one and one makes two, together we are free

Greg, did you do the fluids yourself? I'm wondering how hard it would be to do the trans/case/rear diff.
Not this time had Mazda do it.......Was going crazy with work when I had it done........can't be any tougher then my wife 4 runner, that was a pain.....

How much does the dealership charge for all the fluid changeout? I know I can do it myself, but I just found out that I'll be going back and forth to Dallas for week every other week for the next two months and there are things I would rather do when I am in town.

I would have to dig it out of my car file, not sure where that is as I just moved into my new house two weeks ago........I believe it was around $300 but I provided the fluids....I also had my battery replaced, so not exactly sure it was like $445 total......I will look for it and let you know when I find it

Just found it, was $367 total........about $90 for the prorated battery and install, so about $250 for the fluids, they charged me for the general sevice so no break for me bringing my own fluids.....
I guess that is what you pay for convenience......
