Cobb Short Shifter Problem

Crazy! Scary to think you were driving around with no filter. Glad you got it straightened out.

Its terrifying. But i have a feeling i wasn't driving around without the filter because the filter would have probably been laying on the splash guard below the motor, and would have prevented me from being able to shift while driving. I think that the heat in the engine bay from the drive was enough to keep it in place, and once i got back and it cooled down it fell straight down and wedged itself between the shifter weight and frame. I hope to God that is what happened and that i was not at any point driving with the filter off. I am worried enough with just having the car idle before i tried to leave this morning :( I have not been having a good a year.

wait.... im confused? you guys use air filters i took mine off to have a more free-flowing intake

Wow, that's crazy- Glad you got it figured out though:)

So, how does the filter attach? A hose clamp?

Also in relation to the SRI- It seems like everyone gets the Cobb or Street Unit? What's the deal with the Mazdaspeed brand?...it causes CEL's or something:huh:
