Cruising through some old pictures and I found these so I scanned them in. Check it out in my gallery:
My First Mazda
My 1991 Mazda 626 LX
The car looked good when clean- but I had that car before I had a digital camera so I didn't take too many pics of it. And after 12 years, the interior still looked great- even without tinted windows.
The engine was a weasley 2.2L 4 cylinder that whipped out a mind altering 110 hp and 130 ft-lb with the help of its 12 valves and single camshaft. Of course, I had mine paired with an automatic (what's with me, Mazdas and automatics???!?!?!), which made it even slower. The skinny 14" wide wheels made the tires howl around most corners I took. The interior had those stupid automatic seatbelts. Mine still worked until the day I got rid of it- wish I could say the same out the both front power windows. The paint was badly faded and appeared pink in some spots. The rebuilt transmission was never the same after I overheated the original one and boiled ATX fluid out of the dipstick in the middle of Missouri when it was about 110 degrees.
And import modding was just getting big when I owned this thing. Good luck finding ANYTHING for this car at the time.

Only cash and credit cards
Only cash and credit cards When a man called a motel and asked how much they charged for a room, the clerk told him that the rates depend on room size and number of people. " Do you take children?" the man asked. "No, sir," replied the clerk. "Only cash and credit cards."As fruit needs not only sunshine but cold nights and chilling showers to ripen it, so character needs not only joy but trial and difficulty to mellow it.
