Out of the cars I've owned over the years, there's only 1 of them that I still miss.
My 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo.
^^^That car was an absolute riot to drive! Not the fastest car I've ever owned, and my STI probably handles better, but it can't match my MR2 for overall fun factor! The previous owner had a VERY clean TOM's body kit on the car, and usually, I don't care for body kits, but it was very clean, very OEM looking, how the car should have looked from the factory. That car got a LOT of attention, and none of it negative. Not the "ricer" looks I get for driving a car with a foot high wing lol, but a lot of "nice car" thumbs up. It was debadged, and several people asked me if it was a Ferrari or a Lotus, only to be shocked when I replied with "Toyota" haha.
It was fairly quick, had the traction of an AWD car from a stop (engine over rear wheels FTW!), snap oversteer of a RWD car haha, got great gas mileage (30mpg+ consistently), and always felt light, nimble & fun. I LOVED powering out of corner in that car, completely different from an FR cars I've ever driven... lifting throttle mid-turn would result in snap oversteer, while modulating throttle mid-turn/putting your foot into it, would result in the car tightening it's line. Very pleasing to the nut behind the wheel

Not to mention t-tops... yeah, that's right, and I loved 'em! Sure, they leaked a little in the rain, or in a car wash, but I loved putting them down in the sun! If ever there was a car I would buy again, it would be another SW20 chassis MR2 turbo. Had I not broken so many things on that car (destroyed 3rd gear synchro & warped a cast iron 3S-GTE block ect) I would still own that car. If I had to do it all over again, I would have kept that car, and put another motor in it, but alas I sold it due to the stupid cost of repair.
Maybe one day I'll get another one... one day
