I always wondered where the safe place is to jack the car up in the rear, and suprisingly, the WSM states to jack the rear of the car at the center of the rear differential.
Just an FYI, because most would not think the differential casing is the proper place, but in fact it is..
Front joacking location is on the jack plate welded to the front crossmember in the middle

I hear ya, the diff is something like you said, you would never think could support a big load like that. I'm still not sure what the best jack points are on the MS3. I have read so many different things that i am not sure which to trust. Would love to read it straight out of a service manual for myself.
