The Wife and I pick a town in Colorado a few times a year for a day trip. We do lunch in different towns across the state. Last trip in the Mazda 3 was to drive from Conifer over Mt Evans for a long walk around Echo lake when the leaves started to turn then we went over to the old mining town of Idaho Springs to have lunch in a Deli.

On the way back we walked around an old grave yard in Idaho Springs to admire and respect the grave stones and family plots. It was very old and not maintained anymore except for a few of the family plots. We also admired the old Mining sites where they worked hard to make a few bucks.

Last ride we took in the Miata was last weekend we drove up Shadow Mountian down into Evergreen. Main purpose of this ride was to enjoy the Top Down one last time and work the StaBil gas treatment into the engine before I put the Miata to sleep for the winter.

Winter is here now first good snow last night 3 inches on our deck and driveway this morning. Glad I mounted the snow tires and rims on the 3 last weekend.

I've done 3,200 miles from here to So Cal, up to Nor Cal, back down, and back to here. Add in the misc miles I did in numerous cities and the whole trip was around 4,000 miles on the Speed6.

I also did a round trip to Moab, the Grand Canyon, Cedar City UT, back through Aspen and over Independence Pass, to Aurora that was about 1900 miles.
