Dude I have a 3i and I would highly recommend getting the 5 speed either auto or manual. Also the 2.3L. Don't get me wrong I love my car, but there's such a huge gap between 1st and 2nd in the gearing it kinda sucks, and the lower power numbers with the 2.0L are disappointing as well over time. Just a heads up.
Alrighty...my pointers...
I have the Mazda 3 sport...2.3L 5 speed...by far the BEST investment I've made in my life!! As for winter driving...you definitely need winter sports (Dunlop I think) then just switch out for the summer.
With those tires, my car does friggin awesome in the snow! I've taken her up to the slopes many times without any problems!!
Mine is also the Titanium Gray...again...best option for all the reason you already know about!!!
GO FOR IT!
Can't wait to see what you pick up!

It's not what you drive, it's how you drive it.

I have to retract my earlier statement that the stockers are summers.. I had Laura's snows mounted yesterday on the extra set of OEM rims that I picked up earlier this year, and noticed the M+S logo on the RS-As.. so they're all seasons, but they absolutely suck in the snow.
Yokohama Ice Guards is what we went weith and have been pretty happy with them.
