alternator removal instructions

Does anybody have instructions on how to remove the alternator off the speed 6? I've done some searching, but no luck so far..

Good luck, the alternator is in one of the worst spots possible. It looks like you almost need to lift the engine to get it out, but I haven't seen any kind of instructions for it. Good luck.

Is it bad or are you just wondering?

It's not an easy job on the Protege either. It's either remove the intake manifold or remove the driveshaft.

The oil line going to the turbo is leaking on the block side, which sits right behind the alternator.. I can get to the three bolts holding the alternator on, but getting that damn belt off is whats holding me back now...

You took the tension off the belt, right?

the tensioner wont move, dont understand...I pryed the belt off the tensioner, its off now, I will have to definitely figure out how to get rid of the tension to reinstall

allz good, found the leak, tightened er up, and Im keeping oil in now...
