curious, I happened upon the little glove compartment with door contraption that was in an 00 protege es. I am curious if there is anything that comes with the mp3s or the es and up cars that holds this all in place. So far I have it all instead, but the sleeve is really the only thing keeping it all in place, and I am curious if there are other, more sturdy means.

Did you still need help with this? There should be a support bracket in the car at the back of the head unit. There sould also be a bolt with a rubber nipple (for lack of a better term) on it that fits inside a hole in the bracket. That gives the head unit and storage tray support in the rear to keep things stable.
