NEED SOME HELP!

Well like goldrocket said, if it is more of a rotten egg, sulfur smell, you probably have a bad cat, and at almost 80000 miles that is not so far of a reach. I thought you might have un burned gas cloging the cat by having a wire loose and not getting full combustion. Hope it is simple and not a cat.......let us know how things turn out.

What type of plugs are they? At $12/plug, I'm thinking they are probably not the right kind of plug for that motor.

a bad cat at 80k? is that covered under lifetime warranty since it is emissions related?

They are the NGK Iradium laser cut spark plugs that are the OEM replacement plugs.. and Ive not got about 200miles on the car since the change over and its still running strong as can be and the smell has tapered off alot.. So im thinking that the ECU has adjusted itself to the new airflow from the CAI just as Coloskydiver said

good to here. So are we leaning towards the new plugs as the cause of the smell or it and the CAI combined? I don't recall my CAI resulting in egg smell after it's initial install.

well i can tell you this much.. the smell is gone.. I dont notice anything at all anymore and the car is running so much better now...
