Hi, I am new to the club.

I'm curious to know how many out there own a Mazda6i 2.3L? Looking to find other members with the same type.

It says I own two CX-7's but I just turned them in and now I have a 2008 3i with the 2.3L and a 2009 6i with the new 2.5L. So I guess it is close enough. Welcome. You planning on comming to the b-day bash at Sill-TerHar on the 20th?

Thanks all for your replies. I figured the 2.3L might be looked down upon, that's why I asked! jk.

I spent most of the day today replacing my spark plugs, and also replaced air filter. I'm quite familiar with spark plug replacement, as I have done it several times on my previous car (Neon).

But, removing those plug boots are a bi#)@!! I bought a boot removal tool that aids in removal; it was still difficult but it did help. I went to a few stores to see if they had the stock OEM NGK's but none had them on hand, so instead I got the NGK V-Power. I hope these are ok??

Anyways, after I finished, I turned on the car, and took it for a test drive around the block. I came back, turned off and on the car a couple more times, and then dead! I got so upset thinking I did something wrong with the spark plugs. But after troubleshooting, I found my battery was the problem! Tomorrow I gotta go have it tested and most likely replace it.

I hope to learn more about my car (no one loves the Mazda6 as much as me, haha) I don't really modify my car; I'm more interested in just learning how to perform general maintainance on my car, becoming familiar with it, and meeting other knowledgeable people. If its possible, I really prefer to do most of the maintainance myself then have some shop work on it. I'd love to learn how to replace brakes on my own.

I have a 2005 Mazda6i, performance white, with two mods: clear corners, installed lower sport bumper fog lights w/ factory-style fog light switch.
