I purchased the amp April 2007 and it was installed in my car. A month later May 2007, the Performance shop blew my engine and my Ride was out of commision. The audio equipment sat in the vehicle in a garage for about a year while I worked on settling the damage claim with the insurance company and the Performance shop. Got the car up and running June of this year and then it went back into the shop in July to finish the engine performance work and now a complete auto/video build.

The audio equipment is being sold to accommodate the building of audio demo car with the brand name equipment supported by Mile High Sound Design.

Answer to your questions:
1) I do not have the original receipt of box.
2) Purchased over a year ago, sorry out of manufacture warranty.
3) Used for a total of 2 months for about 20 hours.
4) Item was in great working condition when removed about a week ago.
5) I will gaurantee against DOA and for an additional three months.

With Alpine Amps, warranty period is a moot point. In the twenty two years I have been installing sound systems, I have seen only one Alpine Amp fail, and it only failed because it got submerged in water(it was in a jeep on the floor under the seat). $300 is a good deal on that amp(my wholesale purchase is more than that). If I were in the amrket I'd buy it, but my car already has Alpine amps in it.

Well, if you've been doing this for that long, you know as much as anyone that buying used electronics is a big risk. I think he's doing an awesome thing by guaranteeing it for 3 months.

Package deal on both amps?

Just curious, but why/how is it running at 1000x1 at 2ohms & 4ohms. When the impedance is dropped the RMS should go up? At least with most amps it does.

My Zapco C2K6.0x (and most other amps) did just that.

Alpine has a new impedance matching system that allows the amp to run the same power, even at higher impedance loads. It's actually quite brilliant. I have the MRD-M500 Alpine, an earlier V-12 model. It doesn't hit 500Watts unless it gets a 2 ohom load, which required me to change to a different woofer. I had a dual 2 ohm voice coil Type-R 12. It sounded good, but not the umph I wanted. So I puilled a different sub out of a box and got the 2ohms I needed. Now if you have the PDX amp with one 4 ohm sub, you get all the power you want. If it's not loud enough, then you add another 4ohm sub and it's a minmum of 3dB louder, more than likely about 6dB if you load things right. Normally, that would overload the amp, but with the PDX they just keep on running. You don't even have to make any adjustments. I basically makes the amp more flexible. By the way, adding a sub for more volume is cheaper than adding another amp or going to a bigger amp.

P.S. Zapco amps are good stuff too.
