The problem is that Josh has been hitting on the sales women and receptionists over at Burt, so they told us to take it somewhere else.

OK I just wanna say this..This has been on my mind for the past week anyways, and since all this is just now coming up then I might aswell just let it out. Even though ya, Im on the committee for helping the planning and running of this show.. I havent really done much for it.. I was really wanting to help out at first and I still will do what I can, but with my work hours almost doubling and my wife expecting here really soon, its been hard for me to really help out any at all.. I mean, shit I might not even be able to make it to the show itself cause my wife is due the same week of the show. So I just wanna first say, Im sorry for not being there in full like I intended at first, but I will do what I can for this and the club even though it may not be much.. Ok with that said.. I have to talk about this show..... And this goes out to EVERYONE IN THE CLUB,, First off, lets just all put the difference aside and focus on this event.. Us as a whole, make up a really great car club.. We all have the same passion and drive in our cars and this is why we all come together on here as one big happy mazda family,, I mean look how far we have come.. we even have memebers on the boards that dont even drive a Mazda.. and I just recently got a guy from NM to join up and he loves our club and things it the greatest.. So we've come along way in this past year and I hope it will continue to grow and become a great club for many years down the road.. So really, lets not have our personal issues get in the way of something that could be great for this club....

Ok my next concern.. Guys,, and girls.. Look at the date... Its Aug 26th.. This show, is less than four weeks away.. What all has been planned?? What more needs to be done?? Is everything set it stone?? Even though I cant help much, I still dont wanna see this thing fail.. If we say all summer long that we are gonna be having a huge car show for everyone in the state, then damnit lets have one..I know that this show is being advertised on other car forums so im sure we'll have a pretty good turn out.. plus with Tuner Mayhem coming up in two weeks we have a good opptunity to pass out flyers there also. I dont wanna see our show turn out to be the laughing stock of the local car communitee so that whenever any of us attend other shows like, KBPI or NOPI etc.. then people will point at us and a laugh cause we totally fucked up our own show.. I think that we really need to get our asses in gear and get stuff done.. Now I totally dont know what all has been done, so I could just be speaking out of line here, but really, it still seems to me from reading on here and in the private committee section that theres still a shit load of things to be done and that they arent getting done.. So I think the committee needs to really meet up and meet up soon and finalize alot of things and get things in order, otherwise we could be looking at a HUGE disaster for this club if this shows turns out to be a flop or if it does get canceled all together..

So I only ask this of ALL of you.. Lets come together as a club and as a mazda family and lets put on this show and make it a great show.. You dont need to be on the planning committee to have your own imput.. If you have any suggestions then please feel free to share them and if you wanna help out then Im sure the door is open for you to help us out..

Damn it, Matt, stop with the lame excuses! So WHAT if your wife is due the week of the Party? That's why they invented Oxytocin, dude, so you can induce her the week before, take a week to pamper her, then come to the bash!

J/K

I do agree that it's already the 26th, and making a change this late -- probably not going to help the show. Someone who printed a flyer two weeks ago might not even check the site and could still show up at Burt, expecting there to be a party there. That'd be a shame.

There isn't much I can do from down here, but I'll have my box of canned goods and my grilling apron ready to go.
