My Ride is my Pride and Joy. However, its been agonizing 15 months dealing with my blown engine set back. I've been building what would be my idea of a show car over the past 2.5 years. I have just about modified every component of the car. You can find a list of modifications under the "Garage" forum. I have been busy these last couple of months and will be adding more modifications to the list soon.

What it set me back - I don't even like to think about that. There is no way to justify the amount of money and time put into my Ride other than its my passion that I share with my thirteen-year-old son. I tell my wife its better than blowing the money on drugs, gambling or something similar. I estimate that I'm closing in on twice the amount of what I paid for the car new in 2003. No way will I ever get that money back out. But its hard to put a value on the joy I receive driving and showing my Ride.

As for the forged engine that was my "Silver Lining" or consolation with having to deal with the blown engine catastrophe. I was fortunate that it didn't cost me any money as it was covered by the insurance settlement to the tune of $6,700.00. The forged engine provides the additional strength to start increasing the performance.

I look forward to meeting you at an up-coming meet or show and we can discuss more. My Ride is currently at Mile High Sound Designed for some custom I.C.E. work. I'm hoping to have it ready for the Street Tuner Mayhem and later the CMZC show.

yea, i really would like to meet you and see your car. message me if you wanna go for a drive or something. i live in falcon, go to school at ppcc by the AFB. i get what you mean about blowing money on these cars, well, even though mines a es. i have spent about 2k on it so far, and ive only had it for a year, oh, and i go to highschool and work a crap ton. lol, i love my car. hopefully we can meet up soon...

It's a great hobby if you have something else to drive.

That's why I got a project. I always hated working on my Saab as I had no back-up ride.

The saga continues........

I finally got 1,000 miles on my new engine and winter is finally over to bring the Ride out of the gargage and over the passes to the front range.

My Ride will be going into MAC Autosport first thing tomorrow morning (4/11). Its time to turn-up the BOOST and push the forge engine. MAC will be completing a dyno-tune and mapping my Microtech LT10S. In addition to the tune, I'll be replacing all four of my stock pulleys with Medieval light weight performance pulleys and upgrading my alternator to a 140 amp to adequately handle the I.C.E. system.

My plan is to run the car for about another 500-800 miles with the high boost and than take it back to MAC and get the Nitorus Systems tuned.

In the mean time, the car will continue as a demo Ride for Mile High Sound Design for 2009 and Brian will resume work on the In Car Entertainment System.

I plan to be back down the following weekend (4/18) and show-up at the CU Sports Car Cub show in Boulder. Hope to catch-up with many of you there.
