I just said that the buttons were a bit hard to find if you are not sure where to look.

I hope I'm not out of turn or saying something stupid here, but when you click on a particular thread, it puts you at the first post....don't you want to be sent directly to the last/latest reply?

Thanks- just my ubiased opinion

Nothing stupid about it. A fair question and observation. I think the way that it's set up here is that if you are on the main forum page with all the treads and click the most current post it'll send you to the one you last read or scrolled passed. Same if you are in a thread with posts. If you look on the left there is a spot that says 'Last Post By;' if you click on that it will take you to the last post. :)

I think I'm slow...derrrr. I thought I understood what you said, but apparently not. So, I go to the main home page and there's the ten most recent threads. If I click on one of them, regardless of the fact that I had read the most recent one, it still puts me at the very first post. So I proceed to select the last page (i.e. page 3 of 3) then still have to scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Same with if I go to the "forum" section, select a particular forum (i.e. lounge) and then select a particular thread...it still puts me at the top. I don't see a 'last post by either' , but that's not to say it's not there. [please refer to my signature now and you'll see why it's there! LOL]

Anyway, I may just be pickey or doing something wrong. I'm used to it warping you right to the last post, and if you want to read the whole thing, THEN you manually go back to the first page...also there have been page up and page down features as well.

I know, "who the hell is this guy/aka newbie telling us what HE likes"... again, just an "outsiders" opinion. :6a434460:

LOL....Derrrr. Classic. Ya I make things confusing sometimes. I make it so I understand but so others don't. On the forum page under the Column labled Last Post info, Date and Time, In: XXXX, By: XXXX. If you scroll over In: xxx a thingy pops up and says "Go to first unread post. That will take you to the last page and post that you saw.

In this spot the only way I know of to get to the last page is click on the last page. But also if you look on the last column on the right side Labled "last action" and scroll over "Last Post By:XXXX" it says nothing. That usually takes you to the last post of the thread though.

Not picky. Just a different forum layout than other big ones. Some thing are a little different. Took me a little bit to get used to it. As far as the Page up and down button on the bottum left of the post you are currently reading there is a button that says "Top" with an arrow. As far as I know there is no Down Button. These features are there just not well placed or advertised.

Did you read my mind? This is for you :whoopass1-1: No problem new forum new boards and your trying to figure it out. I know I had problems at first but in the end I think this is well laid out compared to others now.

I still have to scroll right to see the last 1/2". The banner on the top looks good but than it gets wider as you go to the posts.

Right on, thanks for the kind replies guys; more the reason I enjoy this forum and feel comfortable posting. The first forum I came across was audiforums and it was basically a flame fest- not cool IMO.

I found some pretty cool VAG guys before acquiring the Speed3, but now I'm definetely happy to be here and hope to meet some of you all as soon as location/time/circumstances work out. :61424796:
