Scheduled for 3PM on the dyno today. Last session I peaked 218 awhp....just want to see what 2 more lbs of boost and the reflash gives me. I may drop the boost to see a comparison with just the flash. I'll also get graphs from the last session now that their printer is working :)

EDIT: I had peaked 214.3 HP last time in April.

Heck no. Don't cheat. When someone pulls up on you on the street are you gonna have time to cool the IC down. NO. Go for real numbers. ;)

exactly. Its nice to see peak numbers but its just to make your head bigger... Should dyno that bad boy with the AC on after heatsoaking for a minute...true racing ;)

I'll be very surprised if it's more than 10whp extra ;p I'm still skeptical though.

Best of luck Rich.

For those of you who said real numbers and not cool the intercooler sorry but thats stupid to say.

On the ROAD your intercooler WILL BE COOL. So how is cooling it while its sitting in place with barely enough air hitting it on the dyno cheating? Your taking it down to operating temps thats all I'm saying.

I'm not telling him to ICE IT im just saying cool it down so its not heat soaked...

I think you were hinting at ice. ;) That's what the fans are for right?

nah I wasn't hinting at ice just cool it with water and air thats all. I'm not saying cheat cuz yeah those peak numbers are lame. I'm just saying keep it under normal driving conditions which is boost temps right now around 130-150degree's and IAT around 100 - 115. (Love my dashhawk).

Ok, got back about an hour ago. First let me say it's fucking hot outside. Shop temps ranged from 96-102 degrees.

First run I put the Stanback at 15.7 lbs (15.6 effective) for boost. Highest HP from this pull.
Second run Standback at 15.7 lbs again to watch and see if AFRs adjust. AFRs richened up top.
Third run Standback at 17.4 lbs (17.3 effective). Highest TQ from this pull. AFRs again richened through out.

I sat shotgun for the pulls, watching with the Standback software. Something interesting to note is the Standback reading for Fuel Pressure read as high as 1830.19.

As you'll see with my boost and AFR graphs, I need to lessen the Wastegate Duty Cycle between 2900 and 3700 rpm to get rid of those boost waves.

Overall it was an encouraging time. I've lowered boost to 16.5 lbs now to give a good balance between HP and TQ. As for heatsoak, Super Rupair has an enclosed dyno bay that provides direct airflow to the front of the vehicle. We closed the hood to simulate road conditions, and did not spray the IC down. Our only efforts in cooling were to open the bay door when temps inside the bay were in the 100s....then closed them when it went back down to ~96 degrees.

OK now for the eye candy. I've done my best to label each picture. The 2nd pull is removed, as it provided similar results to the third pull. You will also see graphs from when I dyno'd back in April.

With todays temps vs. April on a snowy day, 5whp gain and 32wtq gain. All I need is an IC, maybe some water/meth injection, and a exhaust manifold to get the car where I want it.

Yeah I was looking at the torque. That's a huge increase. Great numbers especially if you compare them to the April's Temps. Imagine if it were April again. I'd say it was worth it but that's just my O. I just ramble but to me seems like good gains.
