I think Cobb confirmed that it will fit with the MS CAI. Don't hold me to it as i cant quite remember.

Updates to their product line. You can see that an aftermarket CAI will at the least in the not have any clearance issues at first, but once its down in the bumper im not sure.
I wonder if there'll be fitment issues with aftermarket CAIs. Didn't the other FMIC have fitment issues with certain CAIs?[/b]

Ok, just got off the phone with Cobb.
1. Install time is 6 hours (For you guys its $80/hour instead of $85 and if you are military you get even more of a discount).
2. You CAN get just the FMIC but it is not recommended....Plus, you will get more out of it if you have the AP AND the FMIC.
3. The MS CAI definitley works with it and they even have a stage 2 map that is made specifically for that CAI and the Cobb FMIC.
4. We do not have the ability to custom tune Mazda Access Ports yet but since Cobb is at altitude as well i don't think their off the shelf maps will be a problem.
Let me know if you have anymore questions

Wow 6 hours! Damn.
So in your personal opinion, was Cobb's answer regarding just running the fmic w/out the AP the sort of answer given to make us buy both? Only reason i ask is i will eventually get both, but i for sure do not have the money to buy both right now.
Thanks for giving them a call!

I know they are going with what they know works well. They won't say one way or the other if you can do it just one at a time. Yes, of course you can get the fmic installed but your going to need some type of engine management. We wouldn't suggest just putting it on there because you wouldn't be happy with your purchase because of the way it runs.
