He's claiming 245 HP with just a K & N Intake. Does it really produce 13 extra HP with the RX-8?

LOL, nope. Didn't know. I still ask the same question, though. Does the K & N CAI really give the 8 13 more horsies?

No it really doesnt. Took a shot in the dark since Mazda claims 232Hp stock. Was supposed to be 235hp. K&N claims like 10 hp from the typhoon kit but i dont believe it. Havnt gotten her on a dyno yet.

If you take a look at mine on there it's at 176 HP and 125 TQ. That's what it dynoed. So BS on you. If I'm going to challenge you I better change mine to 250 and 190. :D

Good god how'd you dyno at 176 when Mazda specs it at 232 @ 8500rpm and 159 Torque @ 5500rpm? Im confused as hell now.

You mustn't be reasearching enough. That's what they all dyno at. that's the corrected number. You don't want to know it's the uncorrected up here I'll tell you that. And plus the 238 HP is not at the wheels that mazda claims it is at the flywheel like all others. Somewhere on here there is a discussion about dynos and drivtrainlass. let just say STI are at 240 -260 or so WHP, IIRC, depending on the car.

I guess there were more soccer moms and Denver-ites than Speed drivers and Springs-homies. The Micro-van wins.
