Hey Albert, do you want me to let you know when i am doing mine? If i don't go to this race track on sat, i might get started later on in the day.

Hey Tom, after reading this DIY i didn't see anything about cutting a vacume line. I remember something about me having to do that. Do you know what i mean?

I think that was for cruise controll or something but could be wrong. I will be out of town this weekend but thanks for the invite. If you end up doing it at a later date let me know

If you are just modifying an existing Protege manifold, no vacuum lines are cut. If you are going to use the 626 manifold, then you will need to splice into a vacuum line if you have cruise control.
You need to leave the VTCS solenoid operational by leaving those vacuum lines plugged in. It's just that the link from the solenoid to the VTCS butterfly cam is not connected (because you will have removed the butterfly system completely during your porting work).

Ok, so i was mixing the two up. So the electrical connection will still be plugged in and the VTCS solenoid will still work its just it wound do anything because i removed the rod for the butterflies. I get it now. Thanks again for all the help with this should be a fun project.
