I am trying to find out what is involved in replacing JUST the little faceplate "strip" that is located directly below the slot that you insert a CD. Does anyone know?

I believe it's just clipped there, so it should just pop off with a little effort. I know that there aren't any screws holding it on.

This is the piece. Would the stereo need to be removed, or the dash?

Stereo doesn't need to be removed. It pops out just like the bottom half does.
