But he's coming from a TurboXS.

I don't ever go on the big Mazda forums to check. So you're basically saying that the stock valve is nothing but a boost leak? WTF whose idea was that?

I believe mine is in the same spot. Yours just looks like it has better clearance for some reason. Mine rubs a tiny bit.

How is that on recirulte? The air is still coming out the end of the BOV were the fins are. I hate to tell you but it looks like its VTA to me IMO.

Yeah the stock BOV is a POS, the turbo xs was an upgrade over the stock, the HKS is even better than the turbo xs IMO

We did it on the MS6 and I will never go back. The moter still squirts gas when you shift do to the air that is going back into the intake for the BOV. If you VTA you will get bad back fires and its just not good for the moter.

Does anyone know if the stock MS3 BOV recirculates air?

I have stalling issues that I need to work out on my Z due to the SSQV VTA.

I dont think that is due to the BOV being VTA. Thats a whole diffrent ball game you have a NA car that you turboed. That sounds like it might be a tune issue IMO.

Randy for a more reliable car go recirc there are people that do VTa and dont have issues but the excessive backfiring gets old lol

Also just a factoid :)

BPV = Stock pump = Bypass Valve = Recircs air
BOV = Upgraded = Blow Off valve = Blows off air / VTA

Granted most BOVs can be fitted to run as a BPV (run recirc)
