Um... Wow. I've only read the first post. My thought is, I've held many of meets/cruises with many different "clubs" and you can't please everyone. Sounds like you're taking this a bit personal and you shouldn't. Oh and I remember the Sept 350Z/Mazda meet and saw the thread were everyone complained about. However I didn't say anything. I now know that most of you don't want to drive South but yet complain when people don't drive North. This seems to be a common problem amoung all "clubs." Its almost a Springs vs. Denver issue. My suggestion... Be happy for the eight members that do come out. Also take into acct some people register to the site and never come back.[/b]

I agree with you about the North crowd never coming down, but always expecting the southerners to come up...

I dont agree with that 100% We had dyno day in the springs were it was 80% of denver people that showed up. We had the Garden of the Gods meet in the Springs that had a large group of denver people show up. I know that Jimmy and Josh have showed up to a few of the smaller monthly meets as well.
I would come down to the monthly meets more often if they were on a weekend, I can't drive that much during the week with work the next day, and schoolwork and household things that need to be done.

I understand what you are saying about meeting down here during the week. It is hard for me to make it up there during the week as well. The reason for having the monthly meeting during the week is so we could just get together and save the weekends for real meets and shows. At least that is my thought.

Makes sense... and if there was a big meet on the weekend I would be there, I have all the other ones so far anyway. And now that I have a car that I dont need to watch how many miles I put on it, I'm up for driving (oh and when I have the money for gas. lol)

Im not saying never,, Im just saying that more things seem to be done up there then down here.. know what I mean..

all in all, I think this whole thing is just being blown out of perportion.. Its just the beginning of summer, people are gonna start coming out and playing, they dont have school to worry about, they dont have to worry about driving in a snow storm.. I think as the meets start to happen more, then more people will attend..

On the boards though, I think that all the people tha thave 5 or less post are the ones that just werent interested at all and they only signed up cause they got tagged and wanted to see what it was all about and decided they didnt care about our club..

That's what I'm thinking as well.. especially when we can get approx 60 people together this saturday for a bbq.. not showing off our cars, or going on a cruise.. just to hang out and eat some burgers and hot dogs, play some music, games and enjoy ourselves.

This is one of the reasons I do not agree with this thread... but just my .02

Yep and I agree with you there also.. The BBQ looks like it will be a good turn out.. I wont be able to make it cause i have to work.. I hate having to work saturdays :( If it were like 2-3hrs later then I would be there.. But I agree.. its gonna be a good turn out to just hang out and meet new people and have fun..

We might still be there 2 or 3 hours later.

I would just like to put out my own hopefully short story, ha ha. I came from another club that I was in for about 4 to 5 years and no one ever did anything except for the once a month phone call. Everytime there was an event of any kind nobody would roll together, people would show up at different times and you would only get about 5 people. That sucks when you see other clubs rollin together 10 to 20 deep and a total of 40 members show up. That was the big selling point for me joining this club, it felt like a family. Now I know I'm new and I don't know who has showed up for what but a club no matter what, if the people are as close as what i've seen this club should be soaring, and people should be happy that they belong to such a great organization.
I am a father of 3 and married. My wife and kids understand my passion for cars, racing and just hanging out with friends. I definitely understand money, work, other obligations people have but there are always time just to at least get online to say hi. Plus I would like to meet a lot more members. I think it would just be nice to see the support from every angle. Thanks for listening/reading.

the circle k issue is moot, adults dont get kicked out or stressed, at least i havent. no gang issues either, i just watch the bedlam go down. its entertaining talking shit to them as they get harrassed by cops. lol. meets are for the people who dig cars, not all who say they do, do.

So tell me Josh...

Do you still think there's a problem with people showing up? Think we had over 30 cars today...
