how do you run your ipod?

Curious how you guys are controlling your ipods on the speed 3? Did you spend the extra money for the factory ipod setup, go aftermarket, find a remote control, or simply open the armrest to change the song selection? I have seen some aftermarket units that allow for hookup (disabling the aux input), but they do not display the song on the dash.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Even with the factory i-pod aux output cable mounted it still doesnt shoe the song titles on the display. I think you would have to go with an aftermarket unit. Hope that helps

I dont have a speed 3.. just a gt 3 hatch and I use the ipod aux that came with the car, open the arm rest to change songs, or i have a long enough cable that I just pull it out a little further and sit it down in my cup holder.

I have an MS3 and the stock is just fine for me. You really wanna spend a shitload of gas money just to see the titles? I just keep the bitch in my lap, like all the rest!

J/K...I actually have no bitches at this time, however I AM taking applications.

Good luck on whatever you decide since I was so helpful here. GIGGITY GIGGITY!

It won't show the song info though...

For about 1 week I tried using my girlfriends ipod and just a 3.5mm cable running to the port in the console, but that sucked. I said f it, and bought a sirius satellite radio box. 10,000x better.

I agree, the sound quality is FTL...but I'm a fan of choosing what I want to listen to. And in this age of singles and playlists, I'm still a fan of the album, start to finish the way the artist intended. That's the reason I haven't made the jump to sat radio.
