My Saturn never got less than 30 mpgs with my daily driving- lots of 5500 rpm shifts and it didn't seem to matter what speeds I cruised at. At the road course, it would drop into the teens- but that's what lots of extended WOT. I was either WOT or full on the brakes. Do that for 4 or 5 twenty minute sessions.

If I did that, I would drop to about 13. But like you said WOT, and with two progressive carbs, that's a lot of gas.

yeah its funny.. I currently have 2 Whitewater pearl used rx-8's... one of them a Grand Touring with black leather, and the other a Shinka...
