Is it the Home Depot/Lows 4' x 8' mesh for like $8? If so LOL cause that's what I use.

Oh and it looks really great by the way. Well done.

Looks great. What did you use to attach it? I need to do one for myself.

ghost I will help you with yours it's not that hard.

I think you could get paint to stick if you could get it cleaned off with asitone real good.

This rubberized paint is great stuff. It actually sprays a thick rubber coat that doesn't come off due to rocks etc. Neat stuff. I used it on my grill on my last car. Never had a problem with it chipping etc. If/when you want to take it off, all you do is peel a corner and the entire thing comes off in one piece.

thats a pretty good idea, although what if somebody wanted it gloss black..? would a couple coats of clear stand on undercoating?

I don't think clear will work because of it being ruberized.

Hmmm, I bet it could. Once it's applied it is definitely a matte finish (actually has texture to it). A few of us used it, but no one tried a clear coat after the initial application. It may take a few coats of clear because it is a porous kind of material so it'd absorb some at first me thinks. Wait, now that I think of it, a friend painted red over the rubber stuff and it held on.

No harm in trying it. It's cheap.

Possibly, but a few coats might work once the rubbery stuff sucks some in? Or maybe it won't adhere at all like you stated.
