Hey not all of us get a new engine every few months

I sauntered into the parts shop and thought I would order a set (if I buy the car) only to find that they cost over $240! Holy crap. For chrome exhaust tips? Any idea where to get these add-ons for a more realistic price?[/b]

One thing I noticed the 08 model had that this 04 didn't have was chrome exhaust tips (with rolled edges of course - very nice). So I sauntered into the parts shop and thought I would order a set (if I buy the car) only to find that they cost over $240! Holy crap. For chrome exhaust tips? Was I at a Lamborghini dealer all of a sudden?
Any idea where to get these add-ons for a more realistic price? I know Pep Boys carries cheap imitations that rust and won't have nice rolled edges (and may not fit perfect since they're generic) but I don't want to put some cheap $15 tips on either.[/b]

Lookin' for some feedback. I am extremely close to buying a very nice used Winning Blue 04 RX8. This would be another sports car in a long line of nice rides over the past 12 years: Mitsu 3000GT, Nissan 350z, Porsche 911 (1984 Carrera), Corvette C5, BMW 330ci.
I have test-driven quite a few and am very impressed with the RX8. My concerns involve a few things: 1) I am 41 years old and want a car that others my age will also own so that I'm not the old man in the room at a car club meeting or at the track - these RX8s seem to have a younger demographic of owner than I'm used to, 2) While I'm pleasantly surprised with the power, I would like another 25hp or so to keep up with the rest of the machines on the street but I don't want to spend much more than $1k to get there. 3) Will the Winning Blue Metallic color of my possible purchase feel "dated" or "too loud" in the real world or overly attract the attention of the local constables?
Please ping back some feedback! Thanks![/b]
