OK, after almost two weeks of haggling and fighting with Bob Penkhus Mazda, I landed myself a new whip today. Well, new to me anyway:

2006 Dark Cherry Mica Mazdaspeed6 GT with Xenons, moonroof, Bose, two-tone leather, autoclimate, power heated seats, and a very happy new owner! I had to be a real JERK about the deal, but I got what I wanted for my old car, and got a price $2000 below KBB for the new ride. Comes with $22,855 miles of "breaking in" by the former lessee of the vehicle.

Better pictures this weekend, when she gets her first wash-wax, and when I get a few light mods done. But for now, I know one thing:

I gotta stay OFF the damn boost or I'll go broke on gas!!

A TON of thanks go to Josh (FreezingCX7) for helping me through the process of being an asshole to get what I wanted on the car.

$9000 trade-in on my car. That was what most of the haggling centered on. They started at $7K and came up to meet me. $20,995 on the Speed6. KBB is $23K-26K, depending how you rate its condition. 5.25% financing. So my payments are basically exactly what they were on the 6S, but with 70K fewer miles, AWD, and a bit more FUN.

Gotta land some winter tires before November, though. Summers will NOT cut it.

No, that clutch is a BEOTCH. I'm used to truck-sized manual trannies, but this clutch is a bit grabby...no, it's a lot grabby.

The '06 clutches are a bitch. I'll be throwing in a Spec stage 2+ pretty soon. Congrats on the ride, good to see another Speed6 in the club :)
