Ingalls Stiffy ETD
So my question is, is this a power mod? If the movement is limited to aid in trasfering power to the wheels? The little vibration you feel in the wheel is that of the engine because it is now connected to a harder surface than the engine mounts. Correct?

Power mod, no. It doesn't increase power output. More of a suspention mod, imo. And you are correct on the vibration. As mentioned, FWD cars benefit the most cause it reduces wheel hop. Less wheel hop, better traction, better times.

First I'd like to thank Huzer21 for letting us borrow his car for the R&D and posting the pics. We should have the kits available middle of next week through our distributors. We will set the price later this week.
There should be minimal vibration in the steering wheel of a RWD car installed with the Stiffy. Much of the vibration can be eliminated by adjusting the preload of the damper. Tighten it up for track days and back it off for daily driver duties.
The ETD acts like an extra motor mount that has adjustable stiffness. The mounting location is designed to provide torsional stiffness to the OEM motor mount for the main loading direction, without increasing the stiffness and vibration in the other directions. This allows us to maximize the benefits (improved shifting, faster launches, reduced exhaust joint wear, improved cornering, etc.) and minimize the downsides - increased vibration.
Yes, the ETD controls engine movement to reduce stress on the OEM mounts. That is why we mount the ETD's where we can get the most leverage on the engine and minimize the stress on the OEM engine mounts.

Thanks for coming in and explaining this better than me. InGalls make quailty ETD that is for sure. However I feel FWD benefit more than RWD. Not saying RWD don't benefit.

If you bring your car down we can see how much engine movement there is from mine to yours. Not now though cause Car is in Paint Booth.
