Thanks Freezing. Another question: was the engine redesigned to deal with the issues that arose for some owners having to do with excess heat? I've read on some forums that a lot of people who bought '04s and '05s had to have the engine rebuilt.

Also, if you want to sell me one of these things shoot me an email at Carter_834@hotmail.com

The engine wasnt so much redesigned as they had a couple of their faults fixed. The early model engines had corrupt ECU software which caused damage to the motors. Early on they also had a problem with flooding.
I bought my 04 used from a Honda dealership in Nov. 06. I took it to the mazda dealership and they told me there was a recall on the ECU and for the motor flooding. replaced the whole motor under warranty. I havnt had any problems with it otherwise.

Ohh and the LSD is standard on the 6spd GT's. The sports dont come with it. I drive with my Dynamic Traction System off all the time except in the snow or rain. I can attest after my buddy slid in his RX8 that the LSD is something your gonna want for those crappy days

If ya wanna try n get your car on the road, call Mazda and see if the ECU recall ever got fixed on yours. Atleast she'll be back on the road. The recall is for a motor so might as well get your motor. Never know that could have been part of the problem.

It'd blow all your minds if I told you. Entering the world of Shane is a mistake.
