Tech Meet: Oct 6th (or 7th)

Hehe. It was boring work anyway, nothing technical. I'll hold off on the strut bar for now. I was pretty impressed I didn't have any left over screws. To be honest, I thought that doing this would take a few hours, but I had the parking brake lever in and adjusted, and the shifter replaced, all in just a little over an hour. And that's including putting everything back together. I'll be here all day, no worries.

Alrighty, I've got to head out. Mazda just called and they have the correct head unit installed. Since they offered to do it now, I better take them up on it. If anyone wants to meet up at Oktoberfest afterward (around 4) let me know. I'll be heading to a bar where a few of my friends work. They're hotties.

Oh well. The short shifter (what a difference) and the parking brake were installed. The brake is cool...just leather covered handle, the chrome on the button of the old one was stripped off. I didn't install the strut bar today, I'll do that tomorrow.

I'm glad I got the radio fixed today, though.

The short shift on my car was a night and day difference for sure, I have no idea about the RX-8 though!

Honestly, it does. I was skeptical as well. The difference is really amazing.

I don't think I've heard anything bad about any short shifter for any type of car.
