A friend of mine back in KS, who is BIG into autox, recently sold his MS6 that was mainly his street car (did see the occassional autox) for the new STi which he plans on competing Nationally with in STU (Street Tire Ultimate). I asked him how he likes the new car (just picked it up a couple weeks ago).

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div>
So far I'm happy with the car. It certainly is faster than the MS6 was, but it's not nearly as nice overall. It's noisy, I'm not crazy about the styling, I don't like the seats that much and I think it's way overpriced. On the other hand, once I have it set up I think it'll be the fastest thing in STU for a while. I think it'll be a great autox car.

If all I wanted was a nice street car, I'd pick the MS6. But I want a competitive car that I can drive to work. I just wish it didn't cost so much.[/b]

LOVE IT!!! I hated it at first, but I have been actually trying to get into a WRX hatch the past few days. Went and sat in the new STi last night and fell in love with it...

Financing fell through on the WRX, but after I get a few things paid off.. I shall have one!!

I don't own one (duh), nor have I even sat in one, but the thoughts that Tom posted are exactly what I've felt all along about the car.

I dont have a million cars that I want like Josh was .. its either the Mazda 3 (which was my old car ) or the Subie. I've been looking for the STi but they are WAY outta my price range, so I'm going with the WRX. The WRX rode soooo nice, even up on the highway, there was no road noise at all. They are over priced though.. that was my concern.

I cant carry my negative over on to the used, I have WAY to much. That is also my problem with the new, if I had better credit I may be able to do that, but with my situation right now I'm not able to.. .If I was I would be driving the white hatch WRX that was up at GO right now... unless the financing guy is playing an april fools joke on me.

plus I like the look and feel of the news ones more then the older ones...

Even if he comes back and says: "OK, we can make a deal." DON'T! Carrying negative equity over to a new/different car is never a good idea.

o no no no you didnt.. I am NOT Josh!!

I will probably end up back in my 3 again so just chill Guido..., but it's going to be awhile.. we have a lot of things coming up this summer and I have ALOT of bills that I need to pay down before I can get another car. I thought it was going to be sooner, but I need to slow down and get things situated with finances first.
