Hey everyone it's Pope. I don't have a speed or even a Mazda for that matter but I was along for the dyno day in the springs. I was riding bitch with Bertha. Josh suggested I hop on here to keep in touch with the population. Yesterday I picked up an 08 Dodge Caliber SRT4. So far the thing is pretty sick. I'll post a thread with pictures when I get them taken today.

Anyway.. I was great to meet all of you at the dyno. And thanks again to the shop for putting on such an event for the club. I had a great time and got some ideas of new mods for my bike as well after talking to Matt.

I'm sure I'll see you all again..

Peace!

Welcome to the club!!

Don't worry about not owning a Mazda... hell, I'm a moderator and don't own a Mazda anymore lol (own an '06 STI), so feel free to post :)

How do you like the Caliber SRT-4? Haven't driven the Caliber SRT-4 yet, but drove a couple Neon based SRT-4's back in the day. I would be supremely curious to see what the new SRT puts down on a dyno... if you have the cash/time, you should strap it to a dyno sometime :D

Post some pics up, and give some impressions of the new SRT :)

Thanks for all the welcomes. So far I really like the SRT. It definately GOES! Gets pretty insane at times. I've seen real world dyno numbers around 270hp with only a cold air intake. Inside it feels like you're in an SUV everything is so big and chunky but definatly comfortable. I forgot to take picts under the hood but will try to do that tomorrow. In one of the picts below you can see the stock intercooler right behind the front grill. They really stepped up the Caliber when the SRT group got ahold of it I can tell ya that.

I plan on getting this thing on the dyno here soon. Just to get a base number. If anyone else wants to go in maybe we can get a deal.

Anyway.... On with the picts.

Welcome. I love the looks of the car. I am just pissed that they didn't make them AWD. <Shakes head>

I hear ya.. When I was car shopping that was one of my requirements but unfortunately this was the closet I could get to "everything" I wanted. One the flip.. If "they" did make it in AWD it would suck anyway. The Caliber SXT/RT uses electronic AWD so it's weak anyway. What can ya do. Given even the stock power of this thing, if it had a good awd system the result would definately put a huge grin on your face. :6a434460:
