Haha... We'll see at Bandimere this season. I'll be your FIRST race.

I can't believe you lost to that Beetle Jimmy. You could obviously tell how you mishifted in 2nd though.[/b]

If he gets his car tuned, I'll actually be betting on Ghost.... for one very important reason, when it comes to launching, RWD>FWD. You'll be at the dyno this weekend right? I hope Ghost's car is ready, I'm curious to see what kind of power he puts down compared to the Mazdaspeed cars... either way, it'll be entertaining :)

Like you said Brandon, it will be entertaining to see the numbers this weekend. Props to Ghost if he does beat us at the track, that'll be cool actually! Now from a roll on the highway... might be a little closer.

Actually, most listings for the Beetle Turbo S, show it to weigh in at about 3005 lbs, whereas the RX-8 weighs in at an average of 3053 lbs, a difference of a whopping 48 lbs, I don't think I would call that "much lighter"... pretty damn close if you ask me.

I also wouldn't call a car weighing in around the 3000 lbs mark, with a whopping 180 horsepower, a "very very quick car" lol. At this altitude, obviously the little bug has an advantage of being turbocharged, so it'll lose less power than the naturally aspirated RX-8, but at sea level, I would fully expect the RX-8 to smoke the little Beetle that could.[/b]

48lb difference. Not bad. but also that driver was like 160 or something so add the difference to mine and let's say I had 100+lbs more than him. Not much to make a diff but oh well.

Poor RX-8s at Bandi. Such the wrong venue for this sweet handling little car.[/b]

I know but I like it. can't wait till SCCA comes near here again. I don't think I'ma gonna drive down to the springs. Today and D-day are enough.

It'll go BOOM :P[/b]

Didn't it do that?

Yeah, you're probably right... Ghost's car would probably keep pulling, while your car repeatedly hits fuel cut lol. You know, since you're not running the Standback anymore, you should invest in some sort of fuel cut control... when I still had my Speed6, I used TurboXS' FCD, Lee was with me, when we tuned fuel cut out, only took about 20 minutes or so to tune IIRC.
